Developer of Stacks (and other great apps), Steven Troughton-Smith, has announced that his next iPhone project will be Dashboard. Dashboard on the Mac OS allows you access to widgets and other useful tools from anywhere in the system practically. So far Dashboard looks like it will allow you to access widgets quickly and easily and not have them clutter your LockScreen or SpringBoard, similarly to how it works on the Mac.

As you can probably tell, since there is nothing else really going on, today is Theme Day here on MyTriniPhone. And in this post I am focusing on Widgets for your Lockscreen. These widgets will allow you to get info/updates about missed SMS messages, weather, Ringer status, a cool Digital clock, missed emails, RSS feeds and IM messages. It takes a bit of setting up and but as you can tell it’s well worth it if you are looking for a unique look that serves a purpose.

To do install these widgets you will need a jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch with Cydia Installed, OpenSSh and the FTP client of your choice. Once you have Cydia installed you must download and install Status Notifier and WinterBoard.

• Supports Status Notifiers 0.2.10, adds support to the following events:

  * Calendar alerts - it’s there but I still have no idea on how to invoke this
  * SMS: MobileSMS / iRealSMS / biteSMS
  * MMS: SwirlyMMS
  * IM: BeejiveIM / Fring / Palringo
  * RSS: NetNewsWire
  * Silent mode (ringer off)
