Polarbit who brought us Raging Thunder, is working on a Crash Bandicoot-branded kart racing game for the iPhone.

It so far looks like the best karting game for the iPhone yet. It’s got more than you would expect from a game for a mobile phone - twelve tracks, a few characters to choose form, lots of weapons and power-ups, and it uses the iPhones great multi-touch interface and built in 3 way accelerometer for controls.

Finally, a great racing game for the iPhone - Raging Thunder by Polarbit.com, even though i wish it was in landscape mode, this is a fantastic very addictive game, Very similar to Need for Speed (and gives us a good idea of whats to come. If this old 2006 game plays so nicely, imagine what a gaming power house like EA will do with the SDK).

You use the accelerometer for turning and accelerating and game play is a bit dodgy, but very addictive and fun. Unfortunately there is no sound (at least for me). But the graphics are amazing, I was kinda shocked at how good they looked (for an old game even) and how fluid the graphics streamed, again imagine how good Need For Speed from EA will look on the iPhone.
