MyTriniPhone 2nd Gen iPhone Design Concept

Since the rumors started that there would be a new Radical Design for the iPhone coming out, my first thought were - Would Apple change the revolutionary design and what sort of changes (if any) would we see? This is in no way any sort of official design or concept, this is merely what I would like to see based on the rumors going around about the design changes, now that’s been said onto my wish list

Update: More iPhone 2nd Gen Designs

MobileStacks works on 1.1.4 iPhone - Tutorial

Long ago I posted about how to get mobile stacks working on your iPhone. At the time I was using it as a speed dialer, and I was also pretty new to blogging and putting together tutorials, looking back at the article I wonder how the hell I expected anyone to understand what I was talking about. So I’ll try to do a bit better. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to post them and I’ll do my best to answer or find an answer.

iPhone Software Simulator “iPhone SimDK” from OneSpring

OneSpring has created a software development/testing simulator for the iPhone into its iRise Simulator. It was built using the iPhone SDK so apps developed with the SDK will run as they ought to. They recreated most of the iPhone GUI including the keyboard and menu’s, and most importantly the touch interface, so testing your apps should be pretty accurate. I am not sure if it will handle Multi Touch as well as the SDK Simulator. If anyone out there has had a chance to test this, please let me know how it is. Read more…

uShow for the iPhone - Video Recording and Sharing

uShow.com is saying that they will be taking registrations from the 20/4/08 for beta testing of the uShow Video recording software. The say that it will be able to save video in landscape and portrait mode to your iPhone and upload them directly to YouTube, Flickr and other media hosting sites.. sweet!

Lets hope that this app is Free and works as advertised without too many hiccups and most of all it captures sound along with that great video.

More 2.0 iPhone Firmware features revealed

Seems like every week a new feature of the firmware 2.0 is unveiled, last week was the rumors of the new SGold chip and the probability of improved camera mega pixel goodness and new contact search features.

This weeks new ability (thanks to Engadget) is to save images form websites to the iPhone. This means that there must be some way to attach these saved images to emails, so maybe some kind of simple file browser will be included (wishful thinking) or probably just a simple attachment icon that will allow you to attach an image or two if we are lucky.

The other new feature isn’t so new, but is the ability to take a screen shot of the iPhones screen by holding power and touching the home button, which will make the screen flash white to let you know you took the snap, cool, and almost exactly like the app from RipDev that allows you to do the same by holding home and toggling the mute button.

These and other new features being found in 2.0 beta updates shows that apple is listening to the voice of the people, and what the people want is the functionality found in most third [arty apps. Hopefully we will see some more cool functionality added with the next beta update in May.

eZiPhone: "Safer, Simpler" Re-Worked ZiPhone GUI for Windows

kwanbis posted this new GUI for Ziphone over on hackint0sh.org, it’s called eZiphone (easy-phone) http://eziphone.blogspot.com, and it’s in Version 1.1a. It’s a simple GUI remix of Ziphone with certain pesky bugs fixed and user friendly prompts added to make sure you are sure about what you are doing. It will jailbreak, activate and unlock you iPhone as well as other features found in Ziphone like Verbose Boot, Recovery Mode, Restore Mode and more advanced features like Downgrade Bootloader, and Repair IMEI and Baseband on 3.9BL’s. But the most important bug fix is the downgrading of 4.6 bootloader unknowingly or without authorization by ziphone, and the added ability to manually check and/or automatically run commands together. (Hopefully) No more accidental downgrades or phone crashes/repair needed.

It supports all versions up to 1.1.4 too, sweet. It’s only for Windows for now - BUT - It is open source (GPL v3), and can be compiled with the open source Lazarus compiler, for Windows, OSX, Linux - so we need a OSX done asap :)

Here are some features:

  • It DOES NOT FORCES you to downgrade the bootloader.
  • It WARNS you of dangerous switches/options.
  • It tells you what it is going to do, before doing it.
  • Finally, it does NOT requires NET framework (a 60+ MB download from MS).

For more screen shots please make the jump to the developers website.
He has also added links to all the previous versions of ZiPhone which is really nice if you know a particular version that you like to loose but mistakenly erased it etc..

Links to download eZiPhone:

  1. DOWNLOAD 1.1a
  2. DOWNLOAD 1.1a (MIRROR)

We all know that Zibri is going to have a sissy fit about this, probably say it’s fake and that his code was stolen etc - LOL - Look in the mirror son :)
