iPhone Dev-Team Warns Against Installing 2.2 Firmware

The iPhone Dev Team has posted an update on their blog about unlocking the iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G.

The iPhone Dev Team have updated their blog indicating that iPhone firmware 2.2 can be jailbreaked, activated and more importantly unlocked. (fixed the title that stated 2nd gen iphones were unlockable)

Caller ID Fix for Unlocked iPhones Around the World

A great iPhone Caller ID Fix Collection was created by Carlo Franchino and is now available via both Cydia and Installer. The CallerID Fix Collection modifies the /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppSupport.framework/PhoneNumberTemplates.plist to add support for additional countries.

Well, well, well - Without any warning or announcement, Apple is selling the iPhone fully unlocked from it’s website to customers in Hong Kong. According to the Apple HK website, an 8GB Unlocked iPhone will set you back $5,400 HK ($692), while a 16GB model costs $6,200 HK ($794).
