iPhone 2G/3G Video Editing (Follow Up)
A little while ago I showed some pictures that showed the ability to edit video on the “old” iPhone EDGE/3G through a small change to a. Plist. This file is not new but has been tested on firmware beta. Today, our Pagaman1 tried on the 3.0 firmware and was able to discover the ability to trigger the display of video editing and also directly on the same “old” iPhone 3G and EDGE.

Technically, it is then possible to use some functions reserved exclusively all’iPhone 3GS also on our previous models, but unfortunately I could not in any way to enable both functions of Video Editing and Camera
, And then find the following guide to enable only the first function.
Requirements
- An iPhone with firmware 3.0 beta Jailbroken
- A client SSH on your computer
Download
- Download the file: M68AP.plist
Help
1st First extract the files on your desktop that you just downloaded. Connect to SSH into your device and entered into this path: / System / Library / CoreServices / SpringBoard.app
2nd Run a backup of the original file called “M68AP” and then sovrascrivetelo with M68AP.plist file you just downloaded from iSpazio.
3rd Now insert a video (MOV format) in cameraroll. You can download this for example: IMG_0011.MOV and put it in / var/mobile/Media/DCIM/100APPLE
4th Run a Respring.
5th Start the camera and click the button at the bottom left to open CameraRoll. You’ll notice a new subdivision in “All Photos and Videos” and you can start the movie that you have previously uploaded.
6th As you can see him move between frames, select the area you are interested in and cut.
Final Notes
To re-enable the camera, you need to restore the original file M68AP.plist. If there is a good person to me who is able to modify other files, for leave to live with these two options, I will be pleased host the package on Cydia. I thankAntonio Outbuildings Pagaman1 for egnalazione today through this video (not Italian):
