How to Install

http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/3873/img0002xu6.pngBefore you begin please backup your iPhone with iTunes, I am not responsible if you mess up yourr iPhone doing this, but you can always restore your iPhone if anything goes seriously wrong. If you have problems please let me know and I’ll try to help.

This install is rated 3.5/5 as far as difficulty (5 being hardest)

NOTE: (status notifier) make sure you update status notifier to get these feature, you can find more info about this at http://code.google.com/p/statusnotifier/

NOTE: (lcd clock/dgital) to make the LCD time work, you need to install a blank font for the lockscreen, download the LCD/Digital Clock font file here and put it in /System/Library/Fonts/Cache/. ** don’t forget to backup the old LockClock.ttf

Ok here is how we Install this :)

You’ll need to install OpenSSH on your iPhone or iPod Touch via Cydia. Once OpenSSH is installed (you will not see an icon, it’s a background service that allows file transfer from computer to iphone and vice-versa via wifi) make sure you have a Wifi connection to a local network with your iPhone and you have a computer that is on the same network. You’ll need a FTP cleint for Mac or PC, I use WinSCP on PC and Fugu on the Mac.

On your iPhone go to Settings -> Wifi -> Then tap the blue arrow and write down your IP number (e.g. 123.456.7.890) then open the FTP program on your mac/pc and enter the ip in the address space and use the Username: root and Password: alpine

If it’s your first time it may take 5 mins for it to login (and ask for password) just wait. Once in you’ll see your files form your PC/Mac on the left and your iPhone/Touch files on the right of the screen. Use the nav arrows or drop menu to go to the /var folder, from there navigate to /private/var/stash/themes/

Now you’ll need to download the widget combo you’ll like to use to your computer if you have not already done so. Once you have downloaded the widget bundle and unzipped/extracted (on your desktop in my example) it you need to copy it to your iPhone themes directory you navigated to in the FTP app on your computer. (above)

To do this, simply drag the fileĀ  homescreen- 1weekweather.themeĀ  from your PC/Mac desktop to the /private/var/stash/themes/ on your iPhone.

To activate the widget, open WinterBoard on your iPhone and select the new Lockscreen Widget. Exit winterboard by pressing the homebutton and your iPhone will do a soft reboot.

Next we’ll configure the weather app to display your local weather.
