iPhone Installer 4.04b Community Sources updated - It Works!

By Aaron Besson at 11 August, 2008, 3:22 pm

I have not been giving Installer an easy time recently. Let’s face it, it was buggy, it didn’t have any useful sources and it didn’t have any new apps listed. I personally think it was maybe released a little too early, or too late. But, today I installed my first apps with Installer.

Thankfully a new update to Community Sources was released today and it included a few more sources and thankfully fixed all the errors that was practically making Installer useless before. There has still not been any official post or update form Rip Dev’s Blog.

The apps listed seem to be pretty much the same as those on Cydia except for Kate and some a couple others, hopefully now that the bugs are being fixed we’ll start to see allot more new apps, games and themes and some old favaorites soon. I am missing MobileFinder :(

I upgraded to 2.0 then downgraded back to 1.1.4 since 2.0 didnt have my favorite apps. Not having Solitaire, Instant Messenger (with Yahoo), Video and iShoot was a deal breaker for me. But so far i see they have 3 out of four. Any chance iShoot will be made available for 2.0? hope so.
