Well I am sure allot of developers are going to feel gutted. It seems that a certain hacker has figured out how to make signed Apps downloaded from the AppStore work on iPhones and iPod Touch’s without purchasing them from the AppStore.
Apple is going to be pissed.
Users can simply find the App they want on their favorite torrent/sharing site and them perform a simple patch to a file on their computer, upload the files via OpenSSH, set some permissions, reboot their phones and viola, it works. Some Apps like Super Monkey Ball have been cracked and are easy to find.
I am not much on the side of pirating software and stealing money out of the pockets of the Developers who created all these fantastic Apps and Games. We’ll see how long it takes Apple to fix this, because this was obviously too easy for them to crack.

I don’t think cracks this should be even be posted here considering this is a decent looking site. I mean games at the App store are cheap. Super Monkey Ball is only $9.99! Common guys! If you can afford an iPhone, whats $10 bucks? Don’t be a cheat! You start taking out revenue from developers, then who will be interested in developing excellent games like this or in any other platform? I know some games are not priced properly, but common, SMB is well worth the price.

BTW, this site had been pretty cool at some point. I loved the contents until that sudden jolt. Drawing the line. I think I just did. . .

Punky Purple, sorry i took so long to approve your comments. I agree and have been considering removing the direct links. as I am someone who purchases software and encourages others to do so, i must say i agree…

Great decision man! I really think we have to be fair. If we support each other I think it’s for the better like the DevTeam’s Pwnage Tool. It’s still hacking but it’s for the benefit of others. I think we are getting an excellent package of freedom from those cool guys. Imagine keeping up with firmware at your discretion.
