Broken iBoot - Dev Team Exposes iPhone BIOS of sorts in new Video

The iPhone Dev Team has certainly been under allot of pressure and I have certainly had enough about posting updates and new videos, but this one I think would appeal to the more tech amongst us, but it means allot to all of us who want a jailbreaked, activated and in some/most cases an unlocked iPhone OS.
The Dev’s proposed a comment driven vote on their blog. All those in favor of the release of a video that showcases the heart of the beast. The iPhones 3G’s “BIOS” of sorts as the Dev’s put it.
In geohot’s famous words:
“IT GIVES YOU A FULL INTERACTIVE SHELL
I REPEAT, A FULL INTERACTIVE SHELL”
And the I’s had it. 800+ votes later and the Dev’s have decided that’s enough people for them to reveal just enough to hopefully satisfy the disbelieving.

“Pwnage breaks the chain of trust from the very earliest boot stage, and as the video shows, this chain has now been broken on the iPhone 3G. Given that the only thing lower than this is ROM, Apple will have to change the hardware to prevent us from getting in, and we don’t expect them to ask for your phone back so they can “fix” it. “
IF the video below wasn’t enough, the Dev’s blatantly state that we are in, and in for good. There should be nothing but good times and at least jailbreaked iPhones from now on. Once the Dev’s can get in at that level, the possibility of an unlock becomes almost certainly possible.

This means that the Dev Team have gotten write access on the same level that Apples Software aka iTunes. - If it’s bound by hardware limitations and only an upgrade to hardware can resolve this for Apple, WOW. Remember a story of millions iPhones, uhum I mean “Electric Computers” Apple ordered?
