Rumor - Two different sized iPhones - Screen Shots

The latest leaked photos are of two LCD touch screens similar to what Apple currently uses in its iPhones and iPod Touch, but there is one difference, one is obviously smaller than the other (one 3.2″ and the other 2.8″).

This really can give the impression that there are two different models coming up, or that they have scaled the phone down and in doing so, scaled the screen size down (maybe to save power).

“To be clear, we believe that there is zero chance that a 2.8” screen is going to be in Apple’s first 3G version of the iPhone, but as a component for an iPhone mini/nano, as well as a fourth-generation iPod nano, it makes a lot more sense,” wrote Jeremy Horwitz. “Notably, Host’s displays place two and only two sensors off to the right of the ear speaker, a detail that doesn’t track with what we’ve heard about the 3G model.”

I have been thinking and saying that Apple may introduce a smaller, thinner, (hopefully unlocked) GSM iPhone and also introduce or re-invent the current iPhone (size) into a 3G enabled iPhone that has got a better camera for video and iChat / Video Conferencing, GPS and maybe even built in work apps like iWork Mobile or something, and of course will be a little thicker to accommodate the battery, GPS chip and camera etc, I wouldn’f mind either or, unlocked would be the shizzle for all my nizzles out there of course.

Reports are coming in recently that a photo (of an what was thought just to be an iPhone case) leaked months ago could actually be what the new 3G iPhone will look like, it’s thicker, it’s got built in GPS and comes in glossy black plastic, it will be available in 16GB and 32GB through designated carriers world wide.

Then there are rumors that it may be smaller, thinner and have better battery life, and may be available in different colors, no GPS abd same ol camera.

With only a few more days until the WWDC more and more information is being leaked or dug up and part of me doesn’t want anyone to spoil my surprise. But- another part of me feels almost like a child at Christmas, I can’t wait to get my present and will shake the box and peek through the wrapping paper to get a hint of what it could be.
