3G iPhone Map - 70 Countries

Today at the WWDC Steve Jobs announced that the iPhone 3G will be available in more than 70 countries.

22 countries will get the 3G iPhone on July 11th 2008, the rest of the world will get it by year end or some time first quarter of 2009. C’mon Digicel and bMobile, put us and our other Caribbean countries on this list!

digicel nor c&w have 3G networks in the caribbean… before getting the 3G iphone, that would be a good start

Laqtel has the 3G license locally (in Trinidad) so one of our carriers just need to buy it form the dormant company and put the 3G antennas on their existing cell towers.

as far as 3G networks in the Caribbean, Jamaica has started (with America Movil) and Digicel will need to do the same very soon to keep market share there. - OR America Movil might spread like wildfire throughout the caribbean soon.

I know someone who erects towers for carriers throughout the caribbean and he says both digi and bmobile ‘plan’ to go 3g by next year, but we all know how slow this process can be, esp here in the sunny caribbean
