Looks like more info is slipping form those that know. This just in, according to ZDnet.de, Hannes Schwaderer speaking at an event in Munich Germany, stated that Steve Jobs will unveil two devices at WWDC even starting June 9th. -

Update: Rumor Squashed? - No Atom powered Tablet says Intel

One model is rumored to have a nice big 720×480 screen - o’la la, so its definitely not a pocket mobile, and has a Intel Atom chip as the power house - whoa.

Atomic specs
These new chips, previously codenamed Silverthorne and Diamondville, will be manufactured on Intel’s industry-leading 45nm process with hi-k metal gate technology. The chips have a thermal design power (TPD) specification in the 0.6-2.5W range and scale to 1.8GHz speeds depending on customer need. By comparison, today’s mainstream mobile Core 2 Duo processors have a TDP in the 35W range.

Sounds impressive. I know no one wants to hear Newton, but the idea of handwriting recognition and more business capabilities and office apps than the iPhone will make it a definite power house in the mobile PDA /MID market. I am sure that they will call it something much sexier than that.

Apple will (hopefully) reinvent the mini PDA tablet by adding something that it perfected with the iPhone, the multi-touch user Interface, and OS X Mobile. It will bring gaming and interactivity to life and the interface and hardware will inspire developers to push the envelope. Or it could be too big, too bulky, get really hot and not be practical at all because you could get a Laptop for around the same price.

The other is obviously the newer model to the current iPhone, but with super fast 3G on board, available in three different colors, with a larger capacity HD flash drive, faster processor and hopefully sharks with freekin lazer beams. Seems as though earlier rumors are looking to have some credibility now. Who knows, but you can bet I will probably want one or both.
