3G iPhone specs confirmed - kinda
This is another one of those friend of a friend heard that this dude got his hands on the new 3G iPhone stories that usually I wouldn’t even comment on, but this time its from big blog Engadget, who has got some pretty good contacts that are usually spot on.(and thats the only thing stopping me from putting rumor in front of this post title).
They are reporting that the new 3G iPhone is already being tested by some lucky “Who’s-Who’s” and that the 3G iPhone “will be about the same size and shape as the first gen“. It will have “proper GPS!”. The rumors of the new shape and color also seem to be true as their source is saying that “the whole thing is glossy black, from top to bottom. The volume buttons are now chrome.”
We already heard that the 3G beast will be slightly thicker than the current model, thankfully and finally the headphone jack will be flush with the body. The screen size is about the same, but no comments on a better MP Camera, if there is a front facing camera, if the AppStore was installed and functional, new Apps or pre-bundled Games?? iChat, iNothing?
I guess we will all have to wait and see. This image via iPod Observer was leaked a few weeks ago but many think it was just a case or a fake, but is looking more and more like what those in the know are describing as the new 3G iPhone.
