Your iPhone is covered by Warranty even if its not Activated with AT&T or others

That’s right. Your iPhone is covered under warranty even if its not activated via one of Apples Supported Carriers. According to this page: https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do

Once you enter the serial number of the phone in question it will tell you if it is still covered by Apples Warranty. Now there is a grey area of course. If your phone was hacked, jailbreaked, opened for HW unlock or repairs, activated or unlocked, this voids this warranty, but if you are able to restore the phone to its factory condition with a full restore in iTunes from DFU mode, no one will ever know unless you act really suspicious and throw a red flag with a bored store worker.

As an extra security blanket you can always print this info out, and take it with you, but take sure you also have your bill and/or credit card receipt as proof of purchase.

This was a nice find, as I had recently bought a few phones and one came with the error “No Sim” no matter what I tried or what sim is in there.

You have me wondering how to backup my phone in the event that something happens. Besides the backup I tunes has, any other recommendations on ways to keep things backed up?
