JerrySim for iPhone - 4.6BL - 3.6BL downgrader

The recent leak of an internal dev document about jerry has now given the upper hand to Chinese simcard resellers, with whom the leaker has been colluding (for his usual reason of seeking fame and glory).

The combined iPhone Dev and Elite Teams would like to thank our booted, leaking ex-member for exposing us – as a team working for you with reasonable plannings. (Read the leaked document to see for yourself.)

Since this whole game is not about blogs, drama, personal glory, money and more drama, but about hacking that fracking device and sharing the results in a responsible way, be assured release will be accomplished as planned (with possible delays to prevent simcard profiteering, you know who to blame for that)

It’s been rumored for a while that the dev team had a way to downgrade the bootloader of 1.1.2 & 1.1.3 iphones for a while. I was hinted that by a friend the other night and sworn to secrecy. I kept my mouth shut, and just as he eluded to how it was being done, is how its being done.

Something called a JerrySim

Unfortunatly the news was not announced by the iPhone Dev Team Portal (as they are known) the way they wanted it to be announced, but instead leaked by Zibri again… as he used it to lash out at the dev members because of the ongoing rivalry etc..

here is the official comments:

Announcements

Thanks to Zibri who blew the 4.6 downgrade for everyone by posting the code early. Unfortunately, he was in no way involved in creating it and has no idea how it works. Since he’s taken it upon himself to post the code, we as a team have decided that we are going to leave it upto him to finish the exploit and show everyone just how clever he is. We were trying to work out some of the logistical details to make sure that people weren’t going to try to profit from this exploit at the expense of the community at large, which is one of the primary reasons we had been holding back the release. We were in no way intending to make money from this or charge for the distribution, quite the opposite. But now, it’s all for naught. So, when Apple patches the exploit and you all remain with locked OTB phones, you know who to thank, your friend Zibri.

This is not good news for anyone right now.
