Independence is out whit a new version 1.4 beta 5 that is jailbreaking, activating and unlocking your 1.1.4 iPhone from your Mac. It leaves you with baseband 04.02.13_G (1.1.2 modem firmware) by using a modified GunLock (originally developed by GeoHotz) I just used it on a 3.9Bootloader iPhone that was upgraded to 1.1.4 from 1.1.3. Its now unlocked and working on TSTT, no need for AppSupport surprisingly..

1.1.4 brings not much more than bug fixes and rumored boost in signal strength. I do notice more signal on this phone than my personal phone.. hmmm…

But with the news of a possible release of the SDK next week, I think i will wait to upgrade. But it is good to see that an alternative to ziphone is around, competition causes evolution
